Robert Collett is Co-Founder and Partner of Collett, a full-service commercial real estate development, management, and leasing company founded in 1987. A graduate of the University of North Carolina-Asheville with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Robert and his brother John founded Collett with a commitment to do honest work and deliver tangible results that would definitively and successfully build their clients’ businesses—as well as their own. Since its inception, Collett has developed retail projects totaling over 18 million square feet. The company has sold over five million square feet of retail centers previously developed and managed and currently leases or manages over six million square feet of retail space.
For more than 25 years, Robert Collett has worked with a penchant for development and practiced negotiations and has developed professional and personal relationships with multiple national credit tenants and their preferred representatives. He succeeds at creating highly productive relationships with them by being actively, personally involved in anchor tenant negotiations and by demonstrating that he understands what comprises successful, sustainable shopping centers that meet the needs of the community and profit the tenant. Robert has been principally involved in the development of shopping centers in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arizona, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. His work includes public-private partnerships structured for the development of regional power centers in Oklahoma, including University Town Center in Norman, Town Center Plaza in Midwest City, and Tulsa Hills Shopping Center in Tulsa.
